I am receiving a dirapi.dll error

When running Lexi-Installer on a Windows ME machine (please note that Java 1.5_06 will no longer run on Windows 95 or Windows 98 computers), occasionally an error that mentions dirapi.dll may occur. This typically occurs if the dirapi.dll file is either corrupted or missing entirely. This is a display driver that is used to run various Macromedia applications which is what Lexi-Connect is built on. To rectify this, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Delete the Lexi-Installer icon from your desktop.

  2. Uninstall previous versions of Java on your computer by following the steps below:

    1. Click on Start-->Settings-->Control Panel
    2. Double click on Add/Remove Programs
    3. Remove all instances of Java by highlighting the program and clicking "Change/Remove"

  3. Download and install Lexi-Connect from http://connect.lexi.com. The installation should proceed properly.

Should you have additional problems, please contact support at 1-866-937-3433.
