Lexi-CONNECT Instructions, Benefits, and Training Video

Lexi-CONNECT allows you to automatically manage your handheld software right from your computer desktop or laptop. Lexi-CONNECT installs on your computer using Java Web Start technology. The program automatically downloads, installs, and registers your handheld software for you. Once you have Lexi-CONNECT loaded, you simply double click the Lexi-CONNECT icon and sync when prompted to stay up-to-date with the latest drug and clinical information available.

Lexi-CONNECT avoids the need to enter license keys into the programs or have to download individual files from a web site. To download and install Lexi-CONNECT please visit http://connect.lexi.com and run our easy to use automated installer package. This will guide you through installation and get you quickly running with your Lexi-Comp software.

Speed up your updates by only downloading those monographs that have changed! Lexi-CONNECT features partial updates, making your downloading process even faster.

Lexi-Installer
The Lexi-Installer tool located at http://connect.lexi.com has been updated to install Java 1.5 instead of Java 1.4. Please note that the look and feel of the installation tool has changed slightly. The new installer, when launched, will run through J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6 - Setup. Simply click through the tutorial to begin the installation of Java.

Lexi-Drugs Indices
Lexi-Drugs now has an index titled "New Monographs". This index displays all monographs created within the last 90 days.

The Special Alerts index now lists the dates of alerts in all monographs.

Lexi-CONNECT Enhancements
Lexi-CONNECT now displays a graphical representation of a database's status. In the Status column you will now see a red button to indicate the database has changed, a green button to indicate it is current, or a yellow button to indicate a demo is available for download. By clicking on a green "Current" icon, you will be taken to a webpage listing all updates made in the past seven days. By clicking on a red "Changed" icon, you will be taken to a webpage listing all updates made to the database since the last time you have updated.

Lexi-CONNECT is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Solaris computer operating systems.

Lexi-CONNECT was designed to make the update process easy. To run Lexi-CONNECT optimally, keep a continuous Internet connection established and Lexi-CONNECT open and running. When updates are made available at Lexi-Comp's web site, they will automatically download to your computer. Then you simply sync your handheld device and your updates will appear on your device. Pocket PC users do not need to initiate a sync as the updated files will transfer if your device is connected.

You can choose to set Lexi-CONNECT to a manual setting where you will then need to click upon 'Download Now' before files are downloaded from the Lexi-Comp website.
