Lexi-Comp PDA Compatibility & System Requirements

Lexi-Comp’s ON-HAND Software Compatibility and System Requirements:

Lexi-Comp ON-HAND software is compatible with Palm OS devices and Pocket PC devices running version 3 and 4.  We are also compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Edition as well as Windows Mobile 6.0 Classic and Professional editions. 

We also have software that is compatible with Blackberry version 4.1 or higher devices.  The subscription requires an unlimited data plan to be accessed on the Blackberry device.  No computer is necessary.

Palm OS:

We are compatible with ALL Palm, PalmOne and Sony Clie Branded devices.

Pocket PC – Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Edition – Windows Mobile 6.0 Classic and Professional Editions:

When choosing a Windows Mobile device to work with our handheld software, the device must be stylus driven and have a Start (Windows Flag) in the top left-hand corner.

*Asian Pocket PC handhelds using the Asiatic characters (e.g. Chinese) can cause problems where the content does not display. You may disable your Asiatic fonts to allow the information to display properly

Devices that we are not compatible:

At this time, the following devices are not compatible with the Lexi-Comp software:

• Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone (such as the T-Mobile Dash, Samsung BlackJack, and the Motorola Q)
• Windows Mobile 6.0 Smartphone (a.k.a. Standard edition) 
• Apple iPhone and iPod Touch

Palm OS:

Windows 2000/XP with Palm Desktop Version 4.0.1 or higher

Windows Vista with Palm Desktop 6.2 (Please note that the LifeDrive, Treo 600 or Tungsten T5 are not compatible with Windows Vista per Palm.com)

Mac OS 10.4 or higher with Palm Desktop 4.0.1 or higher

Pocket PC/Windows Mobile:

Windows 2000/XP with Active Sync 4.1 or Higher

Windows Vista with Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1

PLEASE NOTE: Lexi-Comp cannot support the synchronization of a Pocket PC or Windows Mobile device to a Mac computer.

Memory Requirements:

Our software varies in the range of required memory from 0.5MB to 75MB.  However, the Lexi-Comp software can be installed onto a storage card.  Please be sure to check with the manufacturer of your device to make sure that high-capacity storage cards (1GB to 4GB) are compatible with your device.  We recommend the use of Ultra, Pro or High Speed versions.  This will ensure a proper write speed and access speed to the card.
