Invalid, incorrect or expired warning message
Your license key is 12 digits long and made up of letters A through F and numbers 0 through 9. Each license key is specific to your subscription and device. NOTE: use Lexi-Connect to download and install your software as it now includes automated registration and license key support. This will allow you to avoid having to manually enter license keys or maintain device id's. Download and install Lexi-Connect by visiting http://connect.lexi.com.
If you are experiencing the above error message, then possible reasons for the warning message:
-
You may not have 'registered your software' at our Handheld Software Center. Once you register the Device ID number located above the license key blank you will receive your license keys for all purchased products within your account.
-
You may be trying to enter a pre-authorized purchase code in the blank for the license key. A pre-authorized purchase code simply allows you to have access to register your products at our site. This 12 digit code is not your license key. First visit www.lexi.com/enterkeys to use your preauthorized/registered code, then proceed to 1) above to register your software after you have installed the software onto your handheld device.
-
You may have entered the license key incorrectly. It is common to input an 'O' instead of a zero and an 'l' instead of a one. License keys are comprised only of all numbers 0 through 9 and only letters A through F.
-
You may have inadvertently entered a space in the license key number sequence. There can be no spaces as license keys must be entered exactly as they appear. Make sure to use your back arrow until you are at the beginning of the License Key prompt before entering your license key.
-
You may be entering a license key for a book that does not correspond with the Book listed directly above the Device ID number on the Lexi-Comp Registration screen. License keys are specific to each product and must be entered into the corresponding license key blank under the correct Book. You may 'view your license key(s)' to determine which license keys are to be utilized for which product.
-
You may have purchased the Pocket PC version of the product when you have a Palm OS device or vice versa. Please submit an incident by clicking upon the "E-MAIL a Question" tab at the top of this customer support portal to have your product information switched so that you can be provided the correct license key.
-
Your Device ID number may have changed or was entered incorrectly when registering at www.lexi.com/register. If your Device ID number found on the Lexi-Comp Registration screen (located directly above the prompt for your license key, see screen shots below) does not coincide with that registered at www.lexi.com/keys (see screen shot above in step 5), then your license key will not work. This is common if you have tried to transfer your subscription to a new handheld device. Please submit an incident by clicking upon the "E-MAIL a Question" tab at the top of this customer support portal and provide us with the new Device ID number located on the Lexi-Comp Registration screen.
-
Your subscription may have lapsed in which case you are trying to load a database file that was created after your subscription anniversary date. You will find renewal instructions so that you may access the program at www.lexi.com/renew.
*Please note that it is a violation of the Licensing Agreement to have the software running on more than one device unless you have purchased multiple licenses. Violators of the licensing agreement will have their accounts terminated at www.lexi.com.*
