Palm OS users via Lexi-CONNECT:

By default, Lexi-CONNECT will automatically install to your memory card. If you have not already done so, please install Lexi-Connect by visiting http://connect.lexi.com

After you have installed Lexi-Connect, simply download your software and upon the second HotSync, your software will be installed on the card. (To verify this, please open Lexi-Connect and click on TOOLS àOPTIONS and select the PalmOS tab. You will see that the use expansion card box is check-marked, indicating that you are set to synchronize to your memory card).

If you have previously installed your software on the internal memory, you may follow the steps outlined below to reinstall it on the card:

I. Deletion of the Lexi-Comp software from the device

1. Please go to the home screen on your Palm.
2. Click on the time in the top left corner.
3. Then click on the DELETE button.
4. Please locate the files: Analyze, Interact, Lexi-CALC and Lexi-Comp.
5. Delete each file and then tap DONE.

II. Clearing your Install tool

1. Please open the My Computer icon on your desktop computer.
2. Then, click on the C: (Local Disk drive).
3. Open the Program Files folder.
4. Then, open the Palm(One) folder.
5. Open the folder that corresponds to your username.
6. Please delete the CardInst, INSTALL and QUICKINSTALL folders.
7. Once you are done, please close the window.

III. Re-Install of Lexi-Comp onto your card

Verify HotSync Username

1. From your PDA's All screen, tap on the HotSync icon but do not sync.
2. A username should be displayed in the top-right corner of the screen.
3. Note the username that is listed.

**If a username is not displayed, you may need to perform an initial HotSync on your PDA.

Select HotSync Username in Lexi-Connect

1. Connect your PDA to your computer and login to Lexi-Connect.
2. Place check marks in the INSTALL column next to the databases you wish to install.
3. Click on Tools > Reinstall Readers, select the appropriate HotSync username and click OK.
4. When the downloading is complete, please perform TWO consecutive HotSyncs.
5. After the second sync has completed, your software should be installed, registered and ready to use.

Pocket PC via Lexi-CONNECT:

When installing your software using Lexi-CONNECT you may be asked if you would like to install to the “default application install directory.” The default location is the internal memory of your PDA. If you have installed the software to the internal memory of the device and now wish to reinstall it to a memory card, please follow the steps outlined below:

Deletion of readers off of the internal memory.

1. Perform a soft reset on your Pocket PC.
2. Then tap on the Start menu.
3. Tap on Settings.
4. Tap on the System tab.
5. Then tap on the "Remove Programs" icon.
6. Please remove all listings of Lexi-Comp.
7. Tap on the OK button in the top right corner of the screen when done.
8. Then tap on the Start menu.
9. Then tap on Programs.
10. Under the programs folder, please tap on File Explorer.
11. Under the word file explorer should be a listing with a black triangle (arrow) pointing down. Tap on it and then click on My Device.
12. Then tap on the Programs file folder.
13. Locate the Lexi-Comp folders.
14. Tap and hold your stylus on the word "Lexi." This will bring down a menu. Tap on "delete". Please repeat these steps for each Lexi-Comp listing.
15. The files should be removed from your device.

Please find steps below to install the Lexi-Comp files to your SD card:

1. Connect your PDA to your computer and login to Lexi-Connect.
2. Place check marks in the INSTALL column next to the databases you wish to install and click TOOLS-->REINSTALL READERS.
3. The readers will now prompt you to install:
   • Follow the prompts to install the reader on your PDA.
   • If prompted to install to the default location, click NO and then choose where to install the software.
   • Repeat step 3 until all readers have been installed.
4. Now click DOWNLOAD NOW.
5. Once all of the readers have been installed on your PDA and the download has completed the Lexi-CONNECT Sync Progress window will appear; the databases will automatically sync to your PDA. Please allow time for this to finish.
6. After the last database has transferred, your software should be installed, registered and ready to use.
