Content Updates for Lexicomp Mobile Software

  • Content updates are available to download directly on your device.
  • Updates are provided in real-time as changes are made to the database(s).
  • An Internet connection is require on your device to update your software.
  • Follow the steps outlined below to update the Lexicomp Mobile App.

    iPhone, iPod touch and iPad Users:

    Application Update:

    Lexicomp releases periodic updates to the Mobile App for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad as new features are released and bugs are fixed. When an updated to the application is available the App Store badge on the device, or the Applications list in iTunes will notify you. You can install these updates directly on the device or through iTunes.

    Database Update:

    When a content update is available the Update tab in the application will display a number corresponding to the number of available updates.

    1. Enable your cellular or wi-fi Internet connection. Wifi users make sure you are connected to a wifi connection.
    2. Tap on the Update tab.
    3. Place check marks next to the databases you wish to install, or press the Select All button.
    4. Press the update button in the upper right corner.
    5. After the update is complete, tap the Library tab to begin accessing your subscription.


    Android Users:
    1. Enable your cellular or wi-fi Internet connection. Wifi users make sure you are connected to a wifi connection.
    2. Open the Lexicomp Mobile App.
    3. Tap the Update button.
    4. Place check marks next to the databases you wish to install, or press Select All.
    5. Press the Begin Update button.
    6. After the update is complete, tap the Library tab to begin accessing your subscription.


    BlackBerry 5.0 Users:

    1. Enable your cellular or wi-fi Internet connection. Wifi users make sure you are connected to a wifi connection.
    2. Open the Lexicomp Mobile App.
    3. Press the BlackBerry button and select Update.
    4. Place check marks next to the databases you wish to install, or press the BlackBerry button and choose Select All.
    5. Press the BlackBerry button and select Update Products.
    6. After the update is complete, press the BlackBerry button and select Libraryto begin accessing your subscription.


    Palm OS Users:

    1. Connect your PDA to your computer and login to Lexi-CONNECT.
    2. Please click DOWNLOAD NOW to download any available updates.
    3. After all of the downloads are complete, please perform TWO consecutive HotSyncs.
    4. When the second sync is complete, your software will be installed, registered, and ready to use.

    Pocket PC Users:

    1. Connect your PDA to your computer and login to Lexi-CONNECT.
    2. Place a check mark next to each of your databases and click DOWNLOAD NOW.
    3. Once the download is complete, you will see a "Lexi-CONNECT - Sync Progress" window appear.
    4. Please allow the sync process to complete.
    5. Once the synchronization is complete, your Lexi-Comp software will be updated.

    * Updates are provided in real-time as the databases are edited. In some cases another update will be available when the previous update has finished. This is normal behavior and does not indicate that an error has occurred.
