Dr. David P. Sarment is Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of
Michigan School of Dentistry. He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Paris School of Dentistry, as well as an MS and certificates in Periodontics and Periodontal Prostheses
from the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Sarment is the author and coauthor of multiple scientific articles and book chapters. Implantology has been a major focus of his research, and he has been engaged in
investigations of precise implant placement methods, as well as advanced diagnostic tools. He also teaches dental hygienists, dental students, and residents in Periodontics and Prosthodontics, and has
given numerous lectures on the diagnosis and treatment planning of dental implants, as well as precision tools for improved placement. Dr. Sarment also maintains a private practice that specializes in
periodontics and periodontal prostheses.
