Mark F. Bonfiglio, BS, PharmD, RPh

Dr Bonfiglio received his bachelor's degrees and undergraduate training from the University of Toledo (BA in Biology/BS in Pharmacy) and his PharmD from the Ohio State University. He completed a residency in Critical Care Pharmacy at University Hospitals in Columbus, Ohio. On completion of his training, he was employed by the College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University where he attained the rank of Associate Clinical Professor. During this time he maintained a clinical practice, initially as a Clinical Specialist in Critical Care in the SUMMA Health System, followed by a position as Pharmacotherapy Specialist in Internal Medicine at Akron General Medical Center. In addition to his current responsibilities at Lexi-Comp, he has continued to remain active in science and healthcare education. He currently teaches in the Advanced Pharmacology course for the College of Nursing at Malone College, and has served as Part-Time Faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences at Kent State University.

Dr Bonfiglio is currently the Chief Content Officer of Lexi-Comp, Inc. He coordinates the development and maintenance of the core pharmacology database and serves as an author for the Drug Information Handbook for Advanced Practice Nursing and Drug Interactions Handbook. He is also a contributing author to the Pharmacogenomics Handbook. Dr Bonfiglio maintains memberships in the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), the Ohio College of Clinical Pharmacy (OCCP), the American Society for Automation in Pharmacy (ASAP), and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
