Ms Biron is chairperson of the Tallahassee Community College Dental Health Programs. In
addition to her administrative duties as chairperson, she teaches clinical dental hygiene,
dental hygiene theory, medical emergencies and Allied Health pharmacology. She also teaches
continuing education courses throughout the United States for private practitioners and dental
educators. Ms Biron has over 20 years of sound, hands-on experience in private practice,
emergency medicine, and dental profession's education. She received an AS degree in Dental
Hygiene from New Hampshire Technical Institute in 1973, a BA in Medical Technology and Human
Biology from Notre Dame College in New Hampshire in 1982, a certification as an emergency
medical technician from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1991, and an MA in
adult higher education from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1992. Ms Biron has taught
medical emergencies and pharmacology at several community colleges in the nation and the
University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In addition to numerous journal and
textbook contributions, Ms Biron is a bimonthly columnist for RDH magazine's “
Medical Alert” column. |
